Unhappy

From now on I'm only getting PM dolls. I hate that it has come to this for me, but it has. I bought a Molly doll and she just arrived and her hair was terrible and she looked awful. I took her braids out and tons upon tons of hair fell out! Not to mention it was so thin you could see the wig weave no matter which way you combed her hair. It also seemed much finer then the older hair...like the hair of barbie doll...Her eye lids were also a completely different color from her face and her lashes were so stiff and smallI really hope this was a glitch and AG's have not gotten this bad, however as some of you remember I had the bad experience with the Kirsten doll last year.

Sorry for the rant, but I was so upset (I don't want to offend anyone either, if you love the newer dolls then that's great! This is just a personal issue for me)! However I'm finding some beautiful PM dolls on Ebay, I think I'm going to convert my whole collection to PM's. I'd sell the Molly doll, but I don't want anyone to have her in this condition, I'd hate for someone to have to pay so much for her. I'll probably return her to AG...poor, poor Molly.

Anyone else have this experience?

Some of Kirsten's hair did come out when I was brushing her and I just looked and her eyelids did lok a little different in the color but I still love her. I would like some more PM dolls sometime though.

Oh dear, how sad! Was it a brand new doll from the company? I hope your next purchase is more satisfying.

It's great to have you post on the board again, JaneHart.

btw Prasnlrd, Jess looks adorable in that pink skiing outfit! I'm glad I have the outfit. I'll have to pull it out when I get Jess. She looks really good in pink.

The Mattel dolls really seem to vary in quality.

My daughter won a Mattel Felicity at Barnes and Noble this fall and she is stunning. They are different from PM dolls though. I personally like both PM and Mattel dolls. I think my 10 yr. old prefers the Mattel dolls.

You're right, Mattel does seem to vary, I've been told it's because of the different factory locations.
Don't get me wrong, I still love AG, I was just really dissapointed! However I still find the clothing and accessories wonderful! And the dolls are beautiful regardless, I was just expecting more.

Plus I just realized, the hunt for PM dolls is quite exciting, you never know what you're going to get, who you're going to get, when you're going to get them, and if you even get them! Slightly more challanging!

Anyway, I'm sorry that your doll was a screw up.

You'd think for $90 they could at least send a decent one.

I mean come on. was PC this bad years ago?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's true, it seems now it's hit or miss and you never know what you're going ot get, atleast several years ago you'd order something and you could be confident that it was going to be the quality you expected.
